Communication Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) describe how American Behavioral Solutions (“ABS”, “we”, “our”) communicates with clients and staff via email and SMS (text messages). By providing your contact information and choosing to receive communications, you consent to receive communications from American Behavioral Solutions in accordance with these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Purpose of Communications

ABS may send email and SMS messages to Clients and Staff for the following legitimate purposes.

For Clients:
  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, and cancellations
  • Treatment or service-related updates
  • Program announcements or training invitations
  • Billing, insurance, or documentation notifications
  • Surveys, satisfaction requests, or general inquiries
For Staff:
  • Scheduling, supervision, and credentialing notifications
  • HR, payroll, and compliance updates
  • Training, onboarding, and policy communications
  • Event reminders or internal announcements

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency may vary depending on your role and level of activity with ABS, but will not exceed:

  • SMS: 5 messages per month
  • Email: Periodic updates, not exceeding reasonable operational and informational needs

4. Opt-Out and Unsubscribe

SMS (Text Messages)
  • Reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe.
  • You will receive one confirmation message after opting out.
  • No further texts will be sent unless you opt in again.

Opting out of messages may limit your ability to receive timely updates, reminders, or notifications related to services or employment.

5. Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. ABS is not responsible for any fees charged by your carrier or internet provider.

6. Privacy and Data Handling

  • Your personal information is managed according to our Privacy Policy.
  • ABS does not sell or share your contact information with unaffiliated third parties for marketing purposes.
  • Email and SMS communications are handled securely and used only for legitimate business, clinical, or administrative purposes.
  • Sensitive or protected health information (PHI) is shared only in compliance with HIPAA and applicable privacy regulations.

7. Supported Carriers

Our SMS messages are supported by most U.S. mobile carriers, including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and others. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.
